Trip to the Northeast

This week These Odds took thrifting week into a new territory. We hit up Northampton, Brooklyn, and Manhattan to see what the northeast had to offer up in the world of thrifting. I was extremely impressed with all of the antique clip-on earrings and 80's sweaters but mostly intrigued by the shooooeeeessss!! While I wanted to go crazy, as they carried every boot color imaginable, I did try to stay mindful of my one carry-on limit. I picked up a snazzy pair of rain booties, size 7 which to my surprise worked just fine for my size 6 foot. About two miles further in Brooklyn I picked up a classy vintage cover up cardi that had the most beautiful patten. Warmth was a prominent decider in my shopping so this fit the bill. Alongside that cardigan was a ravishing piece by Theory that I contemplated on whether or not this should leave my possession and be placed onto the website. Undecided, I bought it anyway ...(still undecided). Northampton, or quirkiest city I've seen since Portland, served a great batch of vintage hats, dresses, fur, creepy dolls, mr.potato heads- you name it. I debated snagging a bubble jacket that took me back to the 70 's in spirit but decided it was only lust and I didn't have enough room in my heart to buy it. I will say I have been daydreaming since about it. Overall my trip was admittedly overwhelming with great finds. I think if I have to travel next it will be Vancouver or Portland. My goal and New Years resolution is to travel to new cities, breathe new air and splurge on the greatest of finds!

happy new year
